In the heart of the old city center at the wonderful compound of Gabroveni 24, the national holiday got fancier and stylish by the day! Starting with the 1st of December and following with the weekend the party was an on-going feast where the three stores welcomed the clients with incredible contemporary insipired canvases by Atelier de Creatie bohemian interior design accesories or bougeois floral arrangements by Floraria Lipscani and breathtaking twisted outfits by Atelier A!UREA.

And in order to make this feast even more fancy and fashionable we decided to dedicate it to a Romanian fashion icon, none other than Loredana Groza, a sparkling apparition, a colorful personality and of course a genuine Romanian artist who always brings a smile upon our faces.

The party started at 14.00 o’clock in the afternoon and our guests were welcomed with hot flavoured wine or sweet chocolate milk for the young , they could easily enjoy a stroll thorugh the three stores while watching some of Loredana’s most inspiring videos being projected on the wall of our enchantd interior garden , they could sweeten their lips with home-made pies and baked cinnamon apples. We took our time and started long chats about Lori’s most famous , crazy and insipiring outfits, we even proposed our very own Lori inspired outfits. Moreover, all our guests were welcomed with a 20% discount on all of our products, accesories or designer/ vintage clothes.

We didn’t forget that December is mainly the month of the presents an we prepared our own. So, our clients got the chance to leave the store with a vintage, unique outfit or with twisted contemporary accesories but also with Loredana’s „Sexting” a well-received and long-craved for book. For the ones who wished to change their look from head to toes we offered free make-up and hairstyling sessions in a partnership with Shakti Center.

The surprises didn’t stop here ,however,as we’re still waiting for you with the 20% discount on each item in our boutique, with lots of presents and with our on-going project of „pimpimg clothers for free”. So get in your car/ the subway or the bus and come meet us in the old city center , with an item of your wardrobe that you think you can no longer wear and we’ll pimp it for free, giving it that „twist” it needs.

All the reasons to get yourself a colorful silky dress

To our “ a!urea” thinking, there is no greater pleasure on these winterish days than to wear a designer silk skirt, a piece of clothing that should definitely find its place in every girl’s closet. Be it a long, short, pleated, from lace or leather we all wore it and we all love it. Just in case you’re wondering how you can wear this wonderful piece of clothing we come to your aid with some suggestions on how to wear a skirt.

We chose for our demonstration a designer skirt, made entirely of silk whose rainbow pattern makes it a must have for the season. The lovely girl who designed it is none other than Kikilou, a rebel with whom you’ll definitely cross paths in the months to come as she’ll be designing small collections exclusively for our boutique.

To get down to business ..: we came up with three different outfits whose main component is the silk dress. So, outfit nr 1: “Like a lady” is the perfect combination for a diligent working girl, who, in the midst of paper files, contracts and meetings finds the time to put together a happy combination of clothes and colors. She doesn’t forget the purple cap or the vintage XXL bag, accessories which top up a perfect outfit for an almost winter day.

For outfit no 2 we chose to wear the skirt as a cape to which we added a yellow tutu and a bunch of doll inspired accessories. The result? A perfect image for a nice evening in town, with girls or boys and lots of cocktails. Wear this inspiring combination and we assure you, all the eyes will be on you!

Outfit no 3 is a combination for the party girls or for those who have to attend a fancy event. This time, the skirt is transformed into a one-shoulder dress which is best worn with a tinsel belt. As a fancy event requires a fancy dress code we added to our designer dress/skirt a designer jacket and a beautiful white fur collar. The creativity is infinite when it comes to jewelry but we stopped at a striped scarf and a red dots bow.

So here are our three recommendations for the silk skirt. Of course, the mix is limitless, all you need is imagination and the place where you’ll find all the clothes and accessories you desire, which is certainly… Atelier A!UREA. We’re looking forward to seeing you these days at our marvelous new location on Gabroveni 24, where we can exchange fashion advice daily between 12:00 and 20:00 and drink hot cups of tea!:)

A different kind of Halloween!

This past weekend we were pleased to invite you to step into the dreamy universe of Gabroveni 24 following the steps of our guide, the luminous pumpkin into the fairy interior garden where you would discover us, the three stories , Floraria Lipscani, Atelierul de Creatie and Atelier A!urea getting ready for the Halloween party!

The pre-party environment was exactly like what you would expect from us: we were surrounded by beautiful fairies and luminous orange pumpkins waiting to be carved with spooky smiles using tools from Floraria Lipscani. The main attraction of the two evenings was the hot pumpkin tea, a secret delicacy offered on the house for those who bought at least one product from our enchanted place. We glanced upon popular 20’s movies ate apple and pumpkin pie and smiled at our satisfied customers who left this place in an unmistakable Halloween mood and with their lips sweetened with all the goodies that we served.

For those who were in search for the best look for Halloween we were prepared with a spooky’n’fancy corner where hair and make-up stylists were waiting to transform common people into freaky but fancy Halloween characters. For the perfect costume Atelier A!urea was your friend in need offering you the chance to rent different sorts of costumes such as knight, nun, princess, vamp, angels or devils. We also accessorized the costumes with stuff like masks, boa boas, gloves and wigs.

We really had a great time, made lots of new friends and took lots of pictures to share with those who couldn’t stop by so we’ll just let you enjoy this visual ride into the enchanted pre-party Halloween event!

Atmosfera de pre-party va fi una cu care te-am obinuit déjà, cea de basm in care zanele iti lumineaza calea, unde dovleci numai buni de sculptat se lasa pe mainile tale, cu ajutorul uneltelor propuse de Floraria Lipscani impreuna cu cel mai “hot” ceai de dovleac oferit din partea casei la achizitionarea oricarui produs. Te vei putea indulci pe loc cu cele mai gustoase prajituri home-made cu aroma de mere, dovleac si scortisoara, iar pe fundal vei putea trage cu ochiul la filme consacrate din anii ‘20.

Pentru un look cat mai original de Halloween iti sarim in ajutor cu un colt spooky’n’fancy de make-up and hairstyling , cat despre tinute, vei avea de unde alege, caci Atelier A!UREA ofera servicii de inchiriere costumatii dintre cele mai indraznete: pocahontas, jane, cavaler, printesa, calugarita, vampa, dracusor, ingeras si multe altele. Nu vor lipsi nici accesoriile molipsitoare: masti, port tigaret, boa boa, manusi, peruci.

Gabroveni 24 -Fashion. Art.Flower- was launched

On the 20th of October, Gabroveni 24 opened its doors in the heart of the Old City Center folowing the concept „Three stores, three stories” by token of you’re invited to explore each store of the new ground as if you were flipping the pages of one magnificent book. The journey will reveal to you the remarkable a!urea space where you can admire incredible vintage pieces of clothing seasoned with twisted contemporary accessories and with advice on how to compose the perfect outfit so that you’ll feel special every single day.

Next you’ll stumble upon a gallery of modern art, which will definitely provide you with the perfect “artsy” gift, whether it is a painting on canvas or just a piece of photography.

and lastly or along the way you’ll get the chance to admire fine, bourgeois decorations along with a bohemian tea-room that go under the name of Floraria Lipscani.

The launch party was given flavor by the theme: “ the 1920’s versus 2040’s –back and into the future” and the atmosphere was one that you’ll only find in antique fairytales. The interior garden was animated by pictures of old horsecars and fashionable people from the past and pictures from not such an aloof future that were projected on the walls. The music lay in the hands of Mischa Simeonov the founder of the ingenious project called Classic Beat Orchestra and his friend Sabin Penea who played the violin and who is also a bassist in the popular band, Timpuri Noi. After the boys’ amazing live concert DJ Shurubel took over the music and provided the guests with adorable funky beats that went hand in hand with the cosy but fashionable atmosphere.

We watched extravagant and beautiful people, such as producer and screenwriter Lia Bugnar , Gianina Corondan, actors Marius Manole , Dana Rogoz , Ilincha Manolache , Dana Dembinski, designer Florin Dobre along with fashion bloggers. We wore A!urea outfits, ate the yummiest cookies you could ever imagine, we drank a special kind of punch made after a secret recipe, we gave away presents from the heart.

Each one of the stores/stories welcomes you with a warm heart, with passion and dedication following clapped out ideas put into motion by our endless imagination.

Atelier A!urea is looking for the most bold and inventive outfit inspired by the style that our boutique has been promoting these past months. The outfit would have to be seasoned with at least one product bought from us.

All the captured outfits will feature in an album that we will create especially for you and the lucky girl whose picture will be besieged with the biggest number of likes on Facebook will get to buy whatever she wishes from our boutique with a 40% discount FOR A MONTH'S TIME!

New journey for A!UREA

Leaves change their colour, autumn takes its place and no one is more prepared for the thrills of a new season than us, the happy faces from Atelier A!UREA. To make the transit even more interesting we joined the wonderful team of Floraria Lipscani from Gabroveni 24th and engaged in a journey where silky dresses find their way through vintage decorations and where smilying accesories reflect themselves in breathtaking mirrors. We are nothing but enthusiastic of the result and beacause a picture paints a thousand words we added some photos for you to grasp a little of the charm and serenity this mixture reveals :)

Here’s an outfit for the chilly days to come, both powerful and sweet, for an independent heart who’s not afraid to show a little bit of confidence mixed with heavy and intense jewelry .

Accessories are the key element to the perfect outfit and it’s our pleasure to mix and match them with this rock’n’glitter outfit. We tamed this strong composition with the smooth touch of the lace and silk brooches.

So don’t waste not another minute of this precious autumn weekend and join us in the heart of the Old City Center on Gabroveni Street for an unforgetable expericence.

Cristina Ivan, proprietara magazinului A!UREA: “Imi place sa cotrobai prin magazine cu obiecte vechi!”

Cristina Ivan, proprietara magazinului de obiecte vintage A!UREA situat in centrul vechi al Capitalei, are aceasta pasiune de sase ani. Pe atunci, obisnuia sa cotrobaie prin targurile de vintage din Bucuresti. Acum, multe vedete din show-biz-ul romanesc ii calca pragul magazinului, iar Cristina le da multora dintre ele sfaturi legate de vestimentatie.

De cand ai pasiunea pentru hainele vintage?
Pasiunea pentru vintage o am de cinci – sase ani. Obisnuiam sa cotrobai prin targurile de vintage, dar o placere deosebita o aveam cand petreceam ore in sir in targuri mai putin cunoscute din Bucuresti sau din tara cum ar fi spre exemplu Valea Cascadelor, acolo unde rabdarea imi era rasplatita atunci cand gaseam printre zeci de lucruri neinsemnate acel ceva care abia astepta sa fie sters de povara timpului pentru a-si spune povestea. Achizitionam mai mult rame vechi, obiecte din bronz si casete. Am luat chiar si o flasneta de acolo!

Ce faceai cu aceste obiecte? Le pastrai, le faceai cadou?
Multe dintre ele le achizitionam si le daruiam prietenilor. Imi place sa cotrobai prin magazine cu obiecte vechi, cu atat mai mult cu cat ele sunt incarcate de istorie, au o aura aparte care pentru mine e fascinanta. Asa se intampla si cu lucrurile vintage pentru care am facut o pasiune incercand sa le aduc in contemporan prin a adauga tot felul de accesorii moderne. Rezultatul este unul atipic. Ideile imi vin din experiente, trairi, si dintr-un simt artistic care s-a dezvoltat in timp. Totul a pornit atunci cand colegii de serviciu cat si prietenii mei imi cereau frecvent sfaturi vestimentare pentru aparitii la tot soiul de evenimente socio-culturale. Ulterior, cu ajutorul acestui spatiu numit A!UREA, cei care au ajuns sa ne cunoasca trecand pragul boutique-ului, au realizat ca aici exista posibilitatea de a li se oferi sfaturi bine argumentate in functie de natura evenimentului

Ce vedete trec pragul magazinului A!UREA?
Loredana Groza ne-a onorat cu prezenta la deschiderea oficiala a boutique-ului nostru, apoi Laura Cosoi, Adela Popescu, Dana Rogoz, actritele Ana Olaru si Ilinca Manolache, dar si Alina Chivulescu sau Laurette au devenit cliente fidele! Cumpara rochii, accesorii, si mai tot ce inseamna obiecte vintage. Dragos Bucurenci a cumparat cateva obiecte de aici pentru a le oferi cadou. Pentru barbati am papiloane, butoni, ace de cravata vintage, asa ca si lor le este deschisa usa larg oricand au nevoie de piese care fac diferenta.

Cum te-ai decis sa deschizi un magazin vintage in centrul Bucurestiului?
Trebuie sa recunosc ca nu a fost o decizie personala. Familia mea mi-a dat un bobarnac. Mai exact matusa mea, Mihaela Mitroi, care a a avut inceredere in mine Fiind idolul meu, m-a motivat dandu-mi un imbold atat cat sa constientizez importanta acestui pas. Cu ajutorul ei am reusit sa deschid acest magazin. Nu ma vedeam atat de expusa. Aveam proiectele mele artistice inca din 2005, pe cand incercam sa fac cunoscuti pantofii personalizati A!urea, si lampile Naïve Design (naivedesign.blogspot.com).

Acum te mai ocupi de lampi?
Mai fac lampi ocazional, datorita timpului extrem de limitat. Insa daca se iveste cate o cerere din randul cunostintelor, sunt intotdeauna gata sa imi aduc aportul artistic la conturarea locuintei.

Ce pasiuni ai in afara modei?
Imi place sa descopar lucruri noi, sa am tot soiul de experiente, sa vad o piesa buna de teatru sau sa port o discutie existentiala cu prietenele mele de care sunt legata prin trecut dar si pentru care as fi in stare sa misc muntii din loc (nu stiu daca ele sunt constiente de aceasta ‘forta’ ..  Imi place sa ascult concertele de la Ateneul Roman, ca rad la stand-up comedies, dar si sa adulmec natura inconjurata fiind de zambete familiare. Si pentru ca urasc sa zbor cu avionul, voi opta intotdeauna in a descoperi Europa cu masina, fapt ce se va concretize cat de curand, planificand deja impreuna cu prietenul meu o calatorie pana in sudul Frantei… 

Ce artisti si trupe preferate ai?
Aceasta intrebare imi aminteste de Oracolul clasei a IX ce trecea timid de la un adolescent la altul. La fel de timid. Pai ar fi: Loredana Groza, Cesaria Evora, Pink Martini, Cranberries, Suie Paparude, Urma, Directia 5, Timpuri Noi, Roisin Murphy, Robbie Williams, Vunk, Horia Brenciu (pe care trebuie sa recunosc ca l-am descoperit destul de curand si despre care cred ca este un adevarat show man autohton). In general tot ce suna bine live, caci muzica este un schimb de trairi si energii, iar cel mai bine o asimilezi fata in fata cu cel care are harul de a-ti aduce vibratiile mai aproape de sine.

Faci shopping de placere?
Nu prea mai fac shopping de placere. Sunt saturata de magazinele din Romania, intrucat mizeaza prea mult pe uniformizare. Ma dezarmeaza disperarea comerciantilor de a vinde cat mai mult fara a se concentra pe calitate si originalitate. Din discutiile avute cu persoanele publice din Romania, care frecventeaza boutique-ul A!UREA reiese foarte clar un fapt pe cat de adevarat pe atat de trist: nu mai poti risca achizitionand o rochie Zara, Mango sau H&M fara a avea emotii ca la un anumit eveniment monden sa nu existe o alta persoana imbracata cu o copie fidela purtand aceeasi eticheta… 

Cum ti se pare ca se imbraca romancele?
Se vede o imbunatatire a aspectului fizic al femeilor intalnite pe strada. Si asta ma bucura enorm! Acest fapt se datoreaza in mare parte internetului si acestei libertati de a-ti putea alege obiectul vestimentar inspirat de pe site-urile specializate care nu numai iti ofera combinatiile potrivite, dar si iti dau sansa de a le avea la un click distanta. Lucru minunat pentru femeia bionica din era electronica! Mai sunt si aceste targuri de vintage, hand-made si designer. Aici ai avantajul de a face cunostinta pe viu cu piese unicat, dar mai ales de a-ti oferi placerea rasfoirii unor standuri intregi de povesti pe umerase.

Participi la toate targurile vintage?
Trebuie sa recunosc ca imi las aceasta placere de a selecta. Numar pe degetele de la o mana targurile la care particip. Printre ele se numara Absolutely Fabulous si V for Vintage, doua targuri dragi mie la care particip intotdeauna cu placere si pentru care ma pregatesc intens cu un concept bine studiat. Concret, gandesc tinute care sa vina in intampinarea temei alese de talentatele organizatoare, concursuri si chiar sesiuni foto de street style care ajung in paginile revistelor internationale, cum ar fi Glamour Paris, proiect de care echipa A!urea este foarte mandra  Tin sa multumesc Andreei Stanescu (asistenta mea), Cristinei Tudor (PR & Marketing A!urea) si Alinei Popa (imaginea boutique-ului) care au avut incredere inca din prima zi in puterea acestei ‘nebunii’.

Magazinul tine pasul cu evenimentele culturale ale Bucurestiului?
Fara doar si poate! Pe langa evenimentele culturale de anvergura cum ar fi: Ziua Bucurestiului, Noaptea Alba a Muzeelor si a Galeriilor, urmeaza sa organizez o expozitie de pictura in colaborare cu Daniel Relenschi, un concept mai atipic, in care tablourile voi prinde viata fiind pictate pe rochiile expuse in boutique. Intreg evenimentul va fi gandit ca o poveste care va incepe de la scena vitrinei, pregatita ca pe un moment scenografic, continuandu-se sub forma unor aranjamente florale. Nici accesoriile nu se lasa mai prejos, evadand parca din panza pictata pentru a se darui palpabil noua. Tehnica folosita pentru tot acest tablou tridimensional este Moda Flora, o tehnica care se folosea in vremuri apuse la curtile regesti. Abia astept acest eveniment cu aer poetic ce va anunta o vara efervescenta pe strada Sepcari colt cu Covaci 19! 

Te vei apuca si de creatie vestimentara?
Da, cu siguranta nu ma voi opri aici!  Va exista si o colectie A!URISTIC by Cristina Ivan ce va cuprinde piese care vor fi inspirate din curentul vintage. Vor fi creatii noi cu influenta vintage. Acum imi caut o croitoreasa buna, cu experienta, care sa fie ancorata in contemporan. Iar atunci cand o voi gasi, va fi o colaborare continua din care amandoua vom avea de invatat.

Cu ce designeri colaborezi?
Colaborez in continuare cu designeri romani: Diana Bobar (din Timisoara), La Chatterie (din Bucuresti), Alexandra Calafeteanu, Tess Chiscop, Cristina Dragoi (pantofi pictati manual, dar si sandale si balerini, colectie care va fi cat de curand lansata). Ceea ce avem in plus in materie de incaltaminte, este ca pe langa colaborarea cu o fabrica care ne pune la dispozitie o gama larga de mostre de piele, este si acest nou serviciu de personalizare prin pictura. Cu ajutorul Cristinei Dragoi -care cunoaste extrem de bine acest segment, fiind o persoana cu pregatire dar si cu un simt estetic foarte dezvoltat- putem sa oferim clientelor noastre modele personalizate in functie de dorintele fiecareia. Avem pregatit chiar si un catalog cu toate modelele executate de-a lungul timpului pentru a putea veni in intampinarea celor care nu sunt hotarate ce model sa aleaga. Cat despre vopselurile folosite pentru executarea modelului ele sunt in exclusivitate procurate din America.

Cat costa pantofii pictati?
Pantofii din piele pictati manual costa 270 lei. Pentru sandale si balerini nu am stabilit inca un pret, dar probabil va ramane in jurul acestuia.

Cum ti se pare centrul vechi al Capitalei acum, dupa ce primarul Sorin Oprescu l-a modernizat?
Hmm.. e greu de spus, intrucat as fi mult prea subiectiva in acest moment. Iar acest lucru se datoreaza faptului ca aceste lucrari de reabilitare au ajuns si pe strada Sepcari.. In aceste zile ma simt ca dupa un razboi: nu am trotuar, iar cand ploua nu prea imi vine sa pasesc agale pe aici..  Am insa convingerea ca -asa cum ni s-a promis- mai avem de suportat pana la mijlocul lunii mai si gata, avem promenada mult dorita! Pana atunci, clientele noastre stiu ca pot ajunge la noi cel mai bine prin pasajul pozitionat vizavi de Cocor, pe IC Bratianu care iese direct in Covaci. Iar in zilele mai putin ploioase pot veni fara grija dispre boulevard direct pe Sepcari, cum merg spre Hanul lui Manuc. Insa, oricum ar arata zona, este fara indoiala un punct de atractie pentru straini, care sunt incantati cand il descopera.

Crezi ca Bucurestiul poate concura cu alte capitale europene?
Bucurestiul este un frate mai mic timid, care are potential, darcare mai are drum lung de strabatut. In orice capitala europeana exista o zona istorica cu magazine si terase. La noi gasesti mai mult baruri si cluburi insa putine magazine interesante. Altfel, daca il descoperi architectural, vei fi cu siguranta fascinat de comorile ascunse fara voia lor printre zgarie norii autohtoni..

Le reprosezi ceva femeilor romance?
Cred ca ar trebui sa fie un pic mai curajoase. Au o teama -care dureaza de prea multa vreme- de a se imbraca cu lucruri colorate, vesele si le sfatuiesc sa indrazneasca si alte combinatii in afara celor compuse din alb si negru, gri sau maro. Eu, spre exemplu, nu ies niciodata din casa daca nu am o pata de culoare pe mine: fie de se ragaseste intr-un ruj oranj, pantofi galbeni sau o bereta turcoaz. Accesoriile sunt si ele foarte importante! Ti se pare ca te regasesti cel mai bine purtand o rochie neagra?! Nu-i bai, atata timp cat optezi pentru o esarfa multicolora, un plic funky sau niste cercei intr-o culoare vie.

Cine te-a ajutat in decorarea magazinului tau?
Amenajarea a fost gandita de mine, impreuna cu o studenta de la Arhitectura, Corina Cristescu, sefa de promotie si o persoana extrem de placuta cu care m-am inteles inca de la prima intalnire. Cu ea am gandit tot proiectul! Toate capitelurile au fost facute la un atelier cumva uitat de vreme aflat pe Berzei. Blaturile pe care se gasesc acum accesorii manufacturate de oameni talentati au fost initial parti din dulapuri antichizate de mine.

Cu ce servicii crezi ca vii in plus pe scena cotidiana?
Pe langa sfaturile vestimentare oferite clientelor, se pot inchiria tinute concepute exclusiv pentru serate, petreceri private, aparitii televizate sau chiar pentru sesiuni foto tematice. Oferim de asemenea vouchere cadou, atunci cand nu esti hotarat ce cadou vrei sa oferi, poti avea aceasta optiune care nu da gres niciodata! Oferim cu drag si consilieri in cadouri: nu trebuie decat sa primim cateva date generale despre pasiunile sarbatoritei, o fotografie la indemana, pentru ca noi sa venim cu cateva propuneri in functie de buget. Niciodata nu am primit vreo plangere! Iar daca vom primi, suntem pregatite cu ceva la fel de “a!urea” la schimb  Si mai este ceva! Reconditionam haine si pantofi. Daca te-ai saturat de un articol vestimentar la care nu poti renunta din varii motive, vino la noi pentru a ti-l improspata! 

Iti scriem degraba cu o noua propunere de concurs a!urea. De aceasta data se da o tema: "Moda vintage: o dorinta a!urea", cativa studenti la Jurnalism extrem de intreprinzatori, energici si cu viziuni marete si un boutique aflat pe o straduta din centru istoric.

Insa tu esti cea care va fi luminata de reflectoarele succesului! :) Ce trebuie sa faci mai concret este sa gasesti pana pe 4 mai cateva momente in care sa asterni pe e-papirus un articol cu tema mai sus mentionata si sa il trimiti pe e-mail la atelier.aiurea@gmail.com.

Si asta nu e tot!

pentru ca vei avea sanse mari sa castigi un voucher in valoare de 150lei si o dupa-amiaza placuta intr-o ambianta in care iti vei gasi cu siguranta o tinuta care sa te surprinda cu povestea ei. Cum unde? Pe Sepcari colt cu Covaci nr 19, normal! :)

Castigatoarele aiurite ale paradei BohoAiurea

Ei bine dragi aiurite,

Dupa cum bine stiti, pe 10 aprilie am fost boho ! Si ne-a placut tare mult.. Villa Rodizio a integrat foarte bine spiritul boho in cadrul celui mai chic targ organizat de Diana si Alina de la AbFab, fetele ce au trecut pragul targului au fost boeme, pastelate, vesele si originale in tinute, dar si in atitudine, drept urmare a fost o placere sa ne petrecem duminica in compania lor, va sa zica a voastra :)

Si daca nu ati uitat din ultimul nostru post, tinem sa va amintim ca Atelier Aiurea a fost cu ochiul pe cele mai inspirate tinute, asa incat in cadrul acestei noi postari, suntem incantate sa va prezentam cele mai boho|aiurite outfituri captate de catre noi.

Ne bucuram cand descoperim o noua abordare de stil vestimentar, iar la targul AbFab am avut parte din plin de abordari diferite si pline de originalitate ! Alaturari funky, dar si delicate cu contraste inedite de imprimeuri, culori vii, pasteluri si nude-uri, toate ne-au fost perindate in fata ochilor, parca fascinate de imaginatia voastra plina de idei :)

Unele dintre voi ne-ati incantat cu look suav si plin de poezie, imbracat in culori luminoase, altele cu un look wild, tropical, completat de imprimeuri inspirate din natura, iar cele mai multe ati optat pentru stilul mix to match, prin care ati incropit un outfit la mijloc de drum intre doua stiluri diferite, pe care ati reusit sa le armonizati placut, astfel incat rezultatul final a fost unul demn de blitz si blitzul, la randul lui, entuziasmat de captura ;)

Voi toate, care va veti regasi in pozele de mai sus, sunteti asteptate incepand din acest moment, timp de 15 zile, cu reduceri de 50% la toate articolele A!urea, no limit !

Noi va asteptam cu usile boutique-ului larg deschise, pe ritmuri de funky jazz, pentru a descoperi noi combinatii aiurea de cromatica, textura, viziune si stil :)

PS: Avem in gand un nou proiect pentru street look, dar pentru mai multe detalii urmeaza sa revenim cu un nou post. Stay tunned ladies !

Aviz aiuritelor,

Duminica aceasta, care pica in insorita zi de 10 Aprilie, avem neastamparata placere de a va invita la targul de fashion&vintage “Be Boho, Be Fabulous” by Absolutely Fabulous, eveniment pus la cale, cu foarte mult entuziasm, de catre Diana Enciu si Alina Tanasa, locatia fiind boema Villa Rodizio.

Atelier A!urea nici nu concepe sa lipseasca de la un eveniment ca acesta, motiv pentru care ne-am pregatit serios si ne-am facut temele din timp, spre a veni in intampinarea voastra cu multe tinute Boho Aiurea Style.

O parte din tinutele noastre boho le-am ilustrat in shootingul nostru - Boho|Aiurea, iar pe restul va asteptam sa le descoperiti personal la targ :)

Ce inseamna Boho in viziunea Aiurea !?

In primul rand cand A!urea se gandeste la boho deja isi inchipuie o explozie de culoare, imprimeuri, combinatii iesite din tipar, toate spre a te teleporta intr-un univers nonconformist, asa cum este si Universul Aiurea :)

Nonsalant boho “fura” ce ne place mai mult din indie, hippie, afro, ethno si le aduce laolalta spre a creea tinute pline de personalitate, pe care totusi le purtam cu o naturalete iesita din comun.

Cu ce surprize va asteptam la acest targ !?

Pentru ca deja am avut un proiect axat pe street look cu revista Glamour Paris, unde am fost sustinute de catre fetele de la AbFab, ne-am gandit sa mergem mai departe cu aceasta colaborare si pentru targul “Be Boho, Be fabulous”.

Si ar trebui sa incepem prin a spune ca vom avea “antenele” bine arcuite pentru a descoperi cele mai interesante tinute boho, pe care le vom tinti cu ochiul aiurit si captura pe aparatul nostru foto, urmand ulterior ca pozele voastre sa fie publicate atat pe pagina noastra de facebook, cat si pe blog.

Rasplata pentru curajul si placerea de a fi cu adevarat boho, catre toate domnitele fotografiate de catre noi (ale caror poze vor fi impartasite pe paginile oficiale ale Atelierului A!urea) este metamorfozarea pozelor in vouchere cadou, cu 50% reducere la toate produsele aiurite, timp de 15 zile din momentul publicarii fotografiilor voastre :)

Asa ca tot ce trebuie sa faceti este sa fiti boho la AbFab pe 10 Aprilie si sa inspectati pozele aiurea, pentru a va regasi in ele.

Va asteptam in coltul A!urea impreuna cu Veronica Biliboc (cea care a creat coloratele benzi si fustele tu-tu special pentru A!urea Boho shooting), sa ne facem de cap duminica asta, intr-o atmosfera nonconformista, dar boema, asigurata de Absolutely Fabulous :)

Cand !? Duminica, 10 Aprilie, incepand cu orele 11 si finalizand cu ora 7 seara.

Unde !? La Villa Rodizio, domiciliata pe Str. I.L. Caragiale nr 32 (langa Gradina Icoanei)

De ce !? Pentru ca si tu iti doresti sa-ti petreci o duminica atipica, inconjurata de contraste ispititoare si un mix de culturi laolalta.

Misterioasa de pe peron

Dragi aiurite,

Pentru ca ne bucuram ca niste mici copile, pierdute intr-o gradina cu flori, de cate ori alegeti articolele Atelierului A!UREA pentru un proiect personal, sau de orice alta natura si prin urmare ne implicati si pe noi in micul vostru univers, in asa fel incat fara sa vrem (dar credeti-ne, ne bucura si vreeem!) devenim ucenicii vostri, spre a face o demonstratie de creativitate, originalitate si curaj - imbinand noul cu vechiul, clasicul cu bizarul si contrastul cu fuzionarea fireasca a culorilor.

Catre un astfel de proiect am avut placerea de-a lua la cunostiinta ca s-a orientat si draga noastra aiurita Raluca Stefanescu, care in urma unui curs important de stilism si imagine a intruchipat pentru proiectul final un personaj feminin, asa cum si l-a inchipuit ea mai bine, pornind de la atitudine, trasaturi fizice, ajungand la moravuri si caracteristici atipice, ce o desavarsesc ca femeie. Bineinteles ca o protagonista atat de complexa, avea nevoie si de o tinuta, care sa o reprezinte, si aici isi intra in rol Atelier Aiurea, despre care se pare ca Raluca l-a considerat a fi cel mai potrivit pentru transpunerea “fizica” a eroinei ei :)

Va invitam in randurile de mai jos sa descoperiti singure povestea ei,ilustrata de catre Raluca, pentru ca pana la urma ea descrie cel mai bine acest rol plin de constraste si trairi, pe alocuri... aiurea.

Descrierea tinutei / Tipologia personajului

Este vorba despre un personaj cu personalitate, o femeie indrazneata, nonconformista, aventuriera. Iubeste calatoriile, cunoaste o multime de oameni dar nu are nici un prieten. Acum porneste intr-o calatorie si inca nu stie exact destinatia .., nici cat va dura...

Articole vestimentare:
1. Palaria de vanator o are de la un fost prieten, pasionat de vanatoare iar
2. Cravata pe care a folosit-o pe post de curea o are de la un alt fost prieten, cantaret de jazz.
3. Geanta a achizitionat-o in timpul unei calatorii in Egipt, este confectionata din piele de camila.
4. Rochia este -anii 30

Elemente caracteristice :
- maneca cu umeri bufanti si incretiti
- croiala stransa in talie, fusta lunga, larga si evazata
- lungimea pana la jumatatea pulpei

5. Pantofi : “Peep toe shoes” – anii 40

Culori:
Am realizat un contrast caloric prin asocierea unor culor calde si reci:
-culoarea calda folosita este rosu-corail (se regaseste in dungile cravatei si la pantofi)
iar
- culoarea rece este verdele si derivatul - kaki
- textura materialului este mai putin pretentioasa

Materiale folosite
Un amestec de fibre naturale si sintetice: Poliester : 60 % si Bumbac:40 %
Alte materiale folosite: blana si piele

Sa revenim la peronajul nostru:

Este o persoana pasionata de Virginia Wollf si de Salvador Dali, asculta jazz, fumeaza, frecventeaza baruri si in sufragerie are un crocodil de apa dulce impaiat.

Un nou proiect A!UREA cu aroma frantuzita

Well girls,

Pe final de martie, echipa Aiurea are onorata placere de a va prezenta proiectul "Street Looks à Bucarest", ce ne maguleste pe noi toate, ca “fetite dulci de Bucuresti” ce suntem :)

Proiectul a luat nastere la propunerea simpaticului Antoine Calvino, jurnalist francez al revistelor Glamour Paris si Grazia, intampinat cu mult entuziasm de catre a noastra “aiurita” Cristina Ivan, cea care s-a ocupat de capturarea imaginilor de efect a celor mai interesante outfituri, purtate cu o atitudine pe masura de tinerele nonconformiste bucurestene.

Dorim sa ii multumim lui Antoine pentru increderea acordata, de a se lasa pe mana unor aiurite, spre a impartasii o imagine tres chic cititoarelor parizience in ceea ce priveste cochetele noastre fete de pe promenada Micului Paris :)

Revenind la motivul principal al vizitei lui Antoine la Bucuresti, trebuie sa va marturisim ca am fost magulite de imaginea pe care Antoine a incropit-o despre Bucuresti in articolul sau “Nopti de neuitat”. Ideea articolului a pornit de la dorinta de a-si motiva parizienii sa ne viziteze capitala prin posibilitatile multiple de a-si petrece un weekend de noapti albe cu adevarat ispititor.

Atelier Aiurea a fost ales ca oprirea numarul 1 de pe itinerariul savarsit de el, ca fiind locul unde iti incepi voiajul turistic.

Inainte de a va incepe serata, ne putem imbogati garderoba la Atelier Aiurea. Cristina a adunat in acest boutique creatiile mai multor designeri romani talentati, dar si o multime de obiecte vintage cu care le asorteaza intr-o maniera aparte. Piesa noastra favorita? O rochie neagra Gianfranco Ferre din anii 80’ accesorizata cu un jabou princiar fuschia cu dungi, epoleti romani imbracati in pene si o palarie fantezista impodobita cu o floare din hartie si o panglica de tulle neagra.”

Noi asa ne-am spus dupa ce l-am intalnit pe Antoine cu care ne-am imprietenit cat am clipit si cu care ne-am petrecut un weekend plin, colorat si vesel! Cateva imagini din periplul nostru urban puteti vedea mai jos :)

Un efect ‘aiurea’ de primavara !

In sfarsit a venit primavara, cu alaiul ei de 'aiureli', in adevaratul sens al cuvantului, nu doar pe calendar! Pe mine ma incanta anotimpul asta, zau asa! Odata cu venirea primaverii incep sa ma simt din nou inspirata. Ficare raza de soare este un motiv, fiecare pom inmugurit aduce dupa sine un zambet cald, orice floare primita in acest anotimp, pur si simplu imi coloreaza ziua!

Tot acest ‘buchet’ adunat ma inspira.. si sunt convinsa ca aceasta aroma se raspandeste in tinutele pentru care optez pe zi ce trece. Intr-un mod natural, incerc subit o noua combinatie cromatica plina de culoare, care imi pune in evidenta fie irisul radiant al ochilor sau suvite rebele a caror reflexii sunt mereu schimbatoare -datorita luminii calde a soarelui, fie obrajii imbujorati,principal vinovat facandu-se din nou distinsul domn, de ceva vreme in vise dorit, soarele :)

Primavara ma reinventez, stiu ca suna cliseistic, insa sta in natura fiecareia dintre noi ca odata cu venirea acestui luminos anotimp, satule fiind dupa o iarna parca infinita si mult prea friguroasa, sa fim nerabdatoare sa revenim la hainute flu-flu, vesele si colorare. Cred ca ni s-a intamplat cel putin o data, ca inca din luna lui Faurar sa incepem treptat a ne gandi la lejerele tinute de primavara, in care pata de culoare sa ne inveseleasca tinuta cat ai clipi, insa sa nu putem veni in intampinarea acestei dorinte, pentru ca afara inca sunt minus 3 grade si de parca n-ar fi de ajuns- codul galben de ninsoare apare cumva de nicaieri pentru urmatoarele 4 zile, desi ne notasem constiincios in agenda ca ‘maine’ urmeaza sa fie Martisorul!

Mie una mi se intampla o chestie foarte ciudata (de vreo 3 ani consecutiv) imediat cum primavara da primele semne, simt un chef nebun sa port verde in toata splendoarea lui: verde crud, verde intens.. toate nuantele vii de verde :) Si imi place sa-l combin fie cu crem, fie cu orice nuanta pamantie, iar intamplator poate si c-un dram de auriu. Mi se pare ca in felul acesta port si eu o mica particica de natura vie in aproprierea spiritului meu.

Chiar sunt curioasa… pentru voi, care sunt culorile care va inspira la primele semne de primavara !?

Odata cu venirea primaverii deja ne putem pune creativitatea la incercare. Totul este permis, avem la indemana imaginatia, ramane doar sa ne lasam invaluite de mireasma ei! Lasati-o sa preia controlul, caci sunt sigura ca isi va face ‘rolul’ demn de covorul vostru verde ! Si totusi, in cazul in care aveti nevoie chiar si de cel mai nevinovat si "aiurit" sfat in materie de “Eu cu ce ma-mbrac primavara asta !?” nu uitati ca noi, fetele din echipa A!UREA, va asteaptam cu nenumarate sugestii scoase din 'tipare' ..pentru ca nici Atelierul Aiurit, de pe strada Sepcari, n-a fost ocolit de primavara, asa incat avem o sumedenie de idei bune si nebune pentru ca acest inceput de sezon sa fie croit pentru plimbari primavaratice, pe promenada Bucurestilor de altadata :)

O primavara de poveste aiurita va doresc si pupici de ghiocei, pana data viitoare!

Vino la mult ravnitul eveniment din weekend sa iti cream intr-o clipita tinuta aiuristic de accesibila :) Si nu uita! Pregateste-te de la un prim pas pentru sfaturi vestimentare la pachet, zambete pe umerase, povesti de pus la gat, precum si alte surprize croite sa te incante :D

Concret, Atelier A!UREA este pregatit sa va intampine pe 12 si 13 martie la Sala Dalles intre orele 12:00 - 19:00 cu delicatese proaspete de la hot cookies pana la tinute si mai hot! :) La antreu va oferim accesorii asezonate cu dantela, margele din portelan pictat, figurine metalice cu priviri sticloase si multa imaginatie care poate inveseli pe loc. Colectia Funkish A!UREA are si ea cateva personaje demne de un prim... fel :) asa ca Spanish Guitar sau Mary Poppins' Umbrella isi au rolul lor in toata aceasta placere a gusturilor! Iar aroma felului principal este adusa pe aripile vantului de faldurile Rochiei unicat cu imprimeuri furate din Gradina Secreta. Un desert retro binemeritat il vei purta de aceasta data la... urechi!

Daca ti-am deschis apetitul pentru toate aceste specialitati atent alese, te asteptam sa gusti din aroma standului A!UREA si sa castigi o tinuta croita dupa chipul si asemanarea ta! Valoarea voucher-ului este de 150lei. Se vor oferi si alte 5 vouchere in valoare de 50lei! Asa ca, veniti, vedeti, probati, iar la achizitionarea oricarei aiureli completati formularul de pus in bol. De unde inchiriem rochia de Anul Nou

O rochie retro cu spatele gol, o rochie sexy cu bretele sau una sobra cu accesorii sunt variantele vestimentare pentru seara de Revelion. Daca nu va permiteti o tinuta nou-nouta, designerii si firmele specializate au o oferta pentru ultima petrecere: rochia de imprumut.

De la salonul Crila Fashion puteti inchiria rochii aduse din Italia, ce apartin unor marci renumite: Pierre Cardin, Class, List, Vivaldi. Gasiti 180 de rochii unicat, cu masuri cuprinse intre 36 si 54. Tarifele de inchiriere variaza intre 150 si 650 de lei pentru rochiile lungi de seara. De asemenea, la Elitemariaj, rochiile sunt de mai multe categorii, atat pentru evenimente exclusiviste, cat si pentru petreceri intre prieteni. Pretul de inchiriere pentru o rochie vaporoasa este de 200 de lei, iar marimile disponibile sunt S si M. Daca vreti sa fiti in centrul atentiei in seara dintre ani, o rochie Tony Bowls se imprumuta cu 1.400 de lei.

Creatoarea de moda, Romanita Iovan ofera spre inchiriere o rochie cu prêt unic: 500 de lei.

Rochii de Oscar la alegere

“Clientele vor incheia un contract la atelier, pentru ca rochia trebuie returnata dupa 48 de ore. Daca se intarzie, exista si penalitati”, spune creatoarea. Rochiile de lux ale Romanitei au preturi intre 4.000 si 8.000 de lei. Doamnele care vor sa iasa din tipare pot apela si la agentia Zeynep, care inchiriaza replica ale rochiile putate pe covorul rosu de staruri de la Hollywood. Va puteti imbraca la fel ca Heidi Klum sau Jennifer Lopez, comandand o tinuta din colectia Celebrity Dress Replica. “Inchiriem rochite ale celor mai cunoscuti designeri din lume, ca Mori Lee, Morgan & Co, Joli Prom, Sheri Hill, Bary Jay, La Femme si multi altii”, este anuntul pe site-ul firmei La Novia. Atelier Aiurea, noul boutique din zona boema a Bucurestilor de altadata, si-a aprins firma luminoasa pentru prima oara in data de 27 aprilie, ora 11 a.m, pe Str. Covaci nr. 19 (colt cu Str. Sepcari). Pana acum plimbarile prin centrul vechi insemnau doar restaurante, cafenele si terase, ceea ce ii lipsea pentru a aduce parfumul cartierului parisian fiind locurile pentru impatimitele modei. Acum Atelier Aiurea deschide drumul sesiunilor de shopping de placere. Atelier Aiurea nu este un simplu magazin de haine si accesorii vintage, este un spatiu in care extravaganta westwoodiana, eleganta coco si rafinamentul eternei Audrey se imbina spectaculos si totodata firesc cu noile tendinte ale unor creatori autohtoni in ascensiune. Aici este locul in care noul este dorit, vechiul apreciat, bizarul intrigant, iar pretul acestora unul just, cum numai o fashionista poate face diferenta dintre o piesa veritabila al unui creator celebru si o haina frumoasa prêt-a-porter. De la amenajarea vitrinei pana la designul interior, totul a fost gandit ca un spatiu de inspiratie ce poate conduce la redefinirea stilului propriu prin melanjul de stiluri vestimentare, accesorii si decoratiuni interioare. Iar pentru ca stilul evolueaza, magazinul se reinventeaza si el, rafturile sale schimbandu-si semnaturile de designer in mod constant.
Si pentru placerea de a fi creativ vine natural dupa orele de munca, spatiul este deschis pana seara tarziu, iar de vineri pana duminica programul este prelungit pana la ora 24.00. Aiurea Atelier out on... Lipscani!

Well... yes, it's been a while since we've been active around here. One of the reasons, besides trying to keep up with all the changes in our lives, was that we wanted our comeback worth your patience... :)

So.. after long gatherings, sleepless nights and serious negotiations :) Cristina decided to have her own 'aiurea' place where the vintage atmosphere of a funky boutique will be rounded with lots of retro chic clothes including atypical shoes and patterned handbags having, of course, the Aiuristic by Cristina Ivan touch :) There will be also a few lamps signed by the same said brand, to be hanged here and there, all ready to be snapped up and delivered right in your cozy rooms!

Atelier Aiurea will be situated behind Manuc's Inn, in 19 Covaci Street and will be part of a new restored 19th century building of about 500 sqm, placed on the crossroads with the street of another old craftsman, Sepcari which connects I.C. Bratianu Boulevard with Franceza Street. Only that we are bound to wait until March 2010 when the restauration will be completed.

But until then, we will concentrate our creativity on a 20's movie scene window, preserving our energy on hunting vintage fairs in all of the Europe! We'll start with Rotterdam from where we'll buy also a caravan :)

That being said, hope you will stay tuned for news and details of the funky opening, where delicious bio sandwiches & already famous basil punch prepared by the one and only, Mr Julien de Rodos will sense you the path throughout the cozy room, publicly named Atelier Aiurea store! :)

Holidays are coming… ECO spirit comes to life…

Yes… holidays are coming, as a dear jingle once said, and since ECO is so cool these days, we thought Eco could also be the new Christmas decoration trend. EcoPeople magazine invited us, amongst other local artists, to put out some brand new ideas for Christmas. So they sent us a tree and we resent it back tuned in our shoe-ish style :) Curious what we came up with? Hmmm…well, shoes of course! We cut out some pictures of shoes from old glossy magazines and transformed them into tree decorations, used corks on strings as tinsels, damaged light bulb as the tree’s crown…and that’s about it. Simple enough? Well it is! and yes, you can do it at home, totally safe and eco. Your Christmas can be different this year…if you choose to recycle. The tree will be displayed soon in Eco people magazine and probably somewhere to be seen live. Information on location will be provided soon … so bear with us for a while and maybe we’ll meet there.

In cateva cuvinte, proiectul isi propune sa re-contextualizeze pantofii in lumea designului de interior prin obiecte fanteziste, insolite si atipice aplicate neconventional. Mesajele noastre pot fi indraznete, unele pur ludice, altele spuse in gluma (dar serioase) si cu o semnificatie puternica.

"Şerbet, dulceţă de trandafiri, eşarfă cu buline, rochie de dantelă, viniluri, rock&roll, Cadillac...

Toate acestea au fost echivalentul a ceea ce astăzi înseamnă ipod, performance, blugi skinny, balerini, şi cam tot ce este considerat ca fiind foarte cool, fashionable şi actual. Acum ni se par passe, dar suspinăm cu nostalgie şi admiraţie când, pe stradă, o doamnă foarte cochetă n-a ţinut pasul cu vremurile noastre, ci cu ale ei, şi ne arată cam care era trendul acum 30-40 de ani.
Atunci oamenii îşi scriau impresiile în carneţele, pe foi parfumate, acum, totul se întâmplă pe blog [...]

Cristina, deţinătoarea proiectului „Naive Design” a lansat în primăvara acestui an, împreună cu două prietene bune, linia de pantofi adorabili Aiurea. „Proiectul «Aiuristic by Cristina Ivan» continuă cumva pasiunea mea pentru lucrurile care ascund o poveste, care te ajută să îţi defineşti personalitatea, ba mai mult, te completează. Fără prea multe dureri de cap, îţi poţi găsi în casa mea cu fason piesa favorită (fie că este o geantă recondiţionată sau o rochie veche uitată în cel mai îndepărtat colţ al dulapului).

Printre aceste piese vestimentare recondiţionate se găseşte, aşteptând timid, începutul unei alte vieţi, o mie şi una de alte lucruşoare «aiuristice» gata de a fi purtate.] [...]

We had a great time with Sabrina, the photo shooting was oh so fun - we would like to thank Oana from Ummagumma for being such a nice host - and yes we ended up on a terrace talking about shoes, friendship, projects and experiences . Yes dear friends, we attended the 4th and greatest edition of Grandmas's Backyard so far. It was last Sunday at the Capitol Summer Theatre and celebrated both Gabriela's birthday and the summer big sales party.

The atmosphere was lovely as always as we were among old friends, artists, good music (thanks to DJ Lucas for making us dance in the middle of the day).

We had some furry companions during the day :))

The space was filled with artists as well as fashion and bargain addicts....we wellcomed them all

We were there with Aiurea Shoes.....but this time Cristina could not join us so we brought out her very cool pictures...

So anyway, after a very long and hot day, after meeting new artists, seeing the old B'est Fest friends, kissing Gabriela and wishing her the best and eating some of the surprise birthday cake...we packed our stuff said good bye and wished the next MGB won't keep us waiting so long:).

Yep, seems like we’re going places this summer. Couple of weeks ago two really cool chicks invited us for a cup of coffee (please note that Aiurea is really really into coffee….every day :). So we went and discovered Tabu girls, a new place in town for good coffee, good music, and great interior design (the name will probably be disclosed later on as we promised to keep it for us for the moment ), we mixed up a lot of good ideas, new projects and events to attend. We were just recovering from the Biggest event this year, as we found ourselves in the car, ready to drive out of the city. This time we didn’t listen to any music, but we took advantage of the stillness while we were breathing not oxygen, but fresh air :)

Fist edition of Handmadeart Fest took place last weekend at Rasnov Fortress - it was the perfect timing for us to participate, as we helped talented kids as much as we could and we took advantage of the sunny panorama which we planned to see in a shortest time possible :)

And we got there. Fully equipped we would say : bags full of shoes, tables, extensible chairs, banner, pictures, lamps and all that jazz(y) things we might think useful and here we were climbing to the fortress. It was strange at first or we’ve just had to get used with the place (to much green fields and might do you harm when you live between exhausted pipes :(, a little bit crowded and stressy – as we had to walk to the fortress !!! Great, we said to each other, and we grab the luggage and here it started the adventure… it wasn’t too far away, but we were overloaded and the effort seemed inhuman… almost like a marathon… a complex one, considering the obstacles.

Anyway, here we were, unpacking… us together with our luggage… and from then on we started the festival. At least from our point of view :) We were really impressed by the organizers hospitality, they are a bunch of very nice and understanding guys (thank you !), the variety of the participants, by the pleasant familiar atmosphere throughout our staying and by the visitors who seemed very positively surprised to find at the fortress other facts beside the ‘ruins’. Yes, we met some mighty artists and great manufacturers. We loved the earing, can’t help not to make ourselves presents – only for the help of supporting the young artists - if we weren’t done this, who else should’ve done it ? :)

We loved the purses, the dressed, we very much like Diana Osorhan… there were superb engravings, interesting photos, hand painted t-shirts, vintage printed wallets from Zaza and lots of crazy crafts. There was a little bit of everything: theater, violin recital, background 20s sounds between events… a bohemian atmosphere, flowing of freedom and youthfulness.

Cristina thought it was time to take her photos for a short walk. It was a good start, as they were really well received :) Until now they were very quit spending time mainly on flickr – guess they should be more active we’d say :)

When evening came, we discreetly backed out for serving some hot ciorba and a glass of wine, catching about life, events, aiurea and friendship…

One in all, it was pleasant, fresh, chilly and stirring… What’s next ? :)

'Aiurea' in the mountains, 'aiurea' to the seaside...

Yep, aiuritele have big plans for this summer... If till now, you were seeing us in the B-ig city, now it's time for the provence :) We'll start the tour with a trip to Rasnov. Nope, we won't climb the mountains nor taking long walkings in the chill forests, but we are going to the fair, to the HandmadeArt Fest. 19 - 20 July, 2 days event in Rasnov fortress, an event to which we are really honored we were invited. The fair is also organized for charity purposes, thus 10% out of the selling will be reallocated to the paining class of the Palatul Copiilor Rasnov. The participants will be from all over the country and we are convinced we'll see there many interesting works gathered in one place. Curious to see, try, buy?... :D

From what we've heard, you'll find in there a little bit of everything: painting, sculpture, painted furniture, photographs, ceramics, engraving. All handmade! There will be plenty of other works to be discovered at the premises, so we will be there by all means.

Aiurea sang along with 'Grandma’…at B’est Fest 2008

Yes, it's a fact: ‘Aiurea’ moved in open air for the summertime, firstly at Verona Street, then at the Drum’n’Bass Festival, and last week out with the tent, at B’est Fest. We weren't alone, but with friends from Grandma's Backyard, together with Trinnie who took care everything go smooth and we thank her for that. We sang along three full, hot, but beautiful days.

We are not complaining, as we had the chance to meet lovely people and old friends, to taste freedom and good music, to hear jokes, to drink beer and to have lot of FUN :) The Fest(ival) was not only B'est, but 'aiurit' here and there by the bolt girls who took our shoes out for a walk :)

The tent was full of imagination, clothes, accessories and fancy shoes.

We liked you all, e-vintage, always exquisite clothes and accessories - of course couldn't help not to adopt a few ties :) - Maia is amazing, we thank her for the laughs!. At Noko we discovered some reaaaaly cool t-shirts for men (had to take one :) At Now&Wow we saw a few must-haves purses and some superb dresses made just for these hot days. Cosmina from Fandacsia drove mad the whole tent with her unique and stylish hair bands (we, the girls from 'aiurea' felt in love incurable with the CD and syringe ones :). Burp let us play with her kiddiez - had lot of fun wearing those funny and original characters. Andreea from Biba came with her wonderful filmstrips and we can't help not to wear them (gotta have Casablanca on your ears). We also enjoyed the mushroom earrings made by Virginia Toma and a pair of spring flowers (to cool ourselves :) made by Oana from Tricksbox. From Coca (Zaboloteanu) we got some good laughs, warmth, delicate irony, a gorgeous pair of shoes with the 30's smell and a passion for the unisex Jazz pair (gotta have them, we promise :)

We sang together with Alanis, we jumped (around) with Cypress, we bounced our heads for Kaiser Chiefs, we madly danced in the tent for Roisin, we screamed at Manics and flew away with Nelly. During all these, we shared flyers, we sold Aiurea shoes, we met new people and we exchanged business cards.“

Yep, Roisin Murphy was in the Grandma's house :))

After too much sun, but as much oxygen from the bar near to our tent, water and inevitably ice cream, we packed our things and went home on Sunday night - tired, happy, drowsy but delighted that our 'aiurea' world was likable.

Finally, we have some free minutes for the make up :)) Sooo, we embarked ourselves into the shark-shoe, we prepared for the next trip and we left an invitation for you to join us. The rest... will have been told at the destination!

As usually, we are not alone in this memorable trip. My Grandma's Backyard is making the ride much smoother and joyful. Just happy to be a part of this huge project and we really hope to meet your expectations.

B'est Fest - r u gonna Shoe our way?

Yes, the rumours are true: My Grandma's Backyard travels a lot these days: Street Delivery, Drum & Bass Summer Festival. Next stop: B'EST FEST 2008. We'll be there showing off to your analitical eye :) the brand new 'aiuristic' ideas. As you see on the 'aiurea' version of the poster's event, we've already came up with a line of ideas, as the "Jazz it line" or the "Pic Nick" one - to be posted shortly! And this is only the beginning, our beautiful friends :))

That's why we want to share with you our schedule for the next 2 weeks:

Mo - Fri, from 9:00a.m. - till the one of the 3 of us drops uncounciously :): will be making Fab shoes
